Most “About Us” pages sound like they were written by a marketing team. Ours wasn’t. It was written by two people who kept getting stuck for hours on Pinterest and Instagram at 2 AM,
saving home decor reels, arguing over which layout looked better, and eventually deciding to build something out of that obsession.
That’s who we are — and this page is our honest attempt to tell you who’s behind Decor Style Space, why it exists, and why you can trust what you read here.
Meet the Team
Maneesh Singh Bisht — Founder
I’m Maneesh, based in Almora, Uttarakhand, India. My interest in interior spaces didn’t start with a course or a degree — it started with scrolling.
I’d open Instagram or Pinterest for five minutes to “just check something,” and suddenly it would be 2 AM and I’d saved 100 pins of Scandinavian living rooms and terracotta accent walls. Wall Decor, Home Furnishings & Soft Decor, Balcony & Outdoor Decor, Bedroom Decor. ect.
That habit turned into something bigger. Every time I traveled — even to a small café in a hill town, or someone’s home I was visiting for the first time — I found myself noticing things:
How the light fell, what furniture layout made the room feel open instead of cramped, why some spaces felt calm and others felt cluttered even when they weren’t.
I started spending hours on design and layout software — tools like SketchUp, Planner 5D, and Adobe Photoshop — building virtual room layouts, testing color palettes, and figuring out what actually makes a space work, long before I ever called it “work.
” Every idea we share here goes through that same process first: researched, laid out, and studied properly before it becomes an article.
Somewhere along the way, that curiosity became a habit, and the habit became this site.
Before this became my focus, I worked at BigBasket, part of the Tata Group, in an operational and customer-facing role — where I was recognized for consistency and attention to detail.
That same instinct — noticing small details and caring about getting them right — is exactly what I bring to every article here.

Bhandari — Co-Founder
Bhandari brings the visual and creative side of Decor Style Space to life. With a background in illustration and tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and close to a decade of design experience,
he’s spent years working on layouts, visual compositions, and the kind of detail-driven design work that most people only notice when it’s missing.
His interests run across real estate, interior design, and decor — which naturally led him toward writing as well. He focuses on shaping the ideas on this site into articles that are engaging and easy to actually use, not just easy to skim.
How Decor Style Space Started
It didn’t begin with a business plan. It began with two people who couldn’t stop noticing design — in the places we visited, in the reels we saved, in the rooms we kept rearranging in our own homes just to see if a different layout felt better.
We’d spend entire evenings on design software, building layouts, testing color combinations, and picking apart what made certain spaces work and others fall flat.
Before any idea makes it onto this site, it goes through the same process — researched properly, laid out in design tools, and checked from every angle we can think of.
Eventually, we realized we had enough research-backed experience — and enough obsession — to be useful to other people going through the same thing. That’s how Decor Style Space came to be.
What You’ll Find Here
This site isn’t a glossy design magazine, and we’re not trying to make it one. What you’ll find here is:
- Practical, well-researched design ideas — for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and small spaces that need to work harder than a showroom ever would
- Budget-conscious solutions — because good design shouldn’t require an unlimited budget
- DIY guidance — researched carefully and explained honestly, including where things can go wrong
- Layout and design inspiration — shaped using design software, careful research, and an eye for what actually makes a space feel right
- Sustainable choices — pieces and materials that last, instead of ones you’ll want to replace in a year
Every article on this site goes through the same filter: would we actually recommend this to a friend redoing their own space? If the answer is no, it doesn’t get published.
Why We Do This
Three things keep us writing:
It should feel like you. A home shouldn’t look like a showroom or a trend board. It should reflect the person living in it — their habits, their budget, their taste.
It has to actually work. We have little patience for advice that looks good on paper but falls apart in a real apartment with real walls, real lighting, and a real budget.
Before we write about anything, we research it thoroughly — using proper design tools and reliable sources — so we can tell you honestly where it might not work for you.
Small, lasting choices matter. We’re not interested in preachy sustainability lectures. We just believe in choosing things that are made well and last — for your home and for the planet.
A Small Operation, Run With Care
Decor Style Space is run by the two of us, out of Almora, Uttarakhand. It isn’t backed by a large publishing company, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise — we think that’s actually a strength, not a weakness.
It means every piece of content here is something we’ve personally researched, written, and reviewed, rather than mass-produced by a content farm.

Where We’re Reaching From
We write from Almora, Uttarakhand, India, but Decor Style Space is read by people across India, the US, UK, Canada, and beyond.
Homes look different everywhere, and we try to keep that in mind — a small-space solution that works in a Mumbai apartment can work just as well in a studio in Toronto.
